I just have complaint on Wegmans locations redbox-A&B are not allowing you to rent with code??

1 out of 2 movies that I rent at Red Box are damaged and skip or
freeze. Come on now folks it is us customers responsiblity to take
care of these discs while we have them. It is a privilage to rent
these movies for $1.00 and a special gift to get them free from time to time.

I agree with Carol, As users/viewers we need to take care of disk when renting, who knows you might want to see it again for a buck or better yet free.
I just got finished watching a "damaged" movie, sux that is skip in the most important parts.

If your disc is damaged, all you have to do i call redbox, they will give you a free code to replace movie.

Great reminder - treat these discs better than your own property!

By the way, 1 out of 2 is very high - my problem rate is more like 1 in 30! Do the discs play after you clean them? Sometimes it really helps to clean your DVD player, or it may be time for a new one (they don't last forever!) Maybe you just had a run of bad luck. Better luck in the future!

You are 100% correct. I rent from Netflix and Redbox both. I'd say 1 out of 75 Netflix discs have an error or an issue. But with me it seems to be 1 out of 3 for Redbox. I see scratched, the DVD warping and chucks of the outter rim missing from it being droped. Redbox doesn't even clean their DVD regularly, this is turning out to be a major hassle for me. Thank Goodness I'm not paying for these movies.

I just rented my first video (Bucket List) and it had 3 spots where it "froze" I cleaned it with DVD cleaner very well, and it still skipped. We'll see the next time what happens. Over all, I really like the service. :)

I have been the first one to rent some new releases, and some discs had marks on them, some had no marks but still skipped, I think maybe Redbox gets a deal on the seconds or discs that are not perfect.

That better not be the case. A $1 or not, I still take the time to go and get it and return it. I'm not going to be wondering if it is going to crap out... I'm actually going to go get another one... so we'll see. :)

I agree. Their DVDS are ALWAYS scratched and NEVER cleaned by the machine or an employee.

I think REDBOX needs to clean their discs. Plain and simple.

Having more overhead is the reason the exact same movie from Blockbuster costs 4 times as much. It's been my experience that discs from Blockbuster are in worse condition than those from Redbox.

any word on the IPO? I'd really like to invest but I haven't hear anything. Anybody know anything about this JetBlie guy they hired to help take them through the IPO?
