Yes thank you for this site and codes! Hey i just was wondering if anyone else has to really press hard on their redbox kiosk screens... on several of them in MD i have to really almost bang on the screen with a finger (thump!) for it to work.. it's kind of annoying esp. when i hit the wrong thing and have to clear or go back, (when entering codes!) but hey for free movies, who's complaining! (not me, just a question).. have a nice wknd.

Love the codes, since gas is so high these days, a free good movie will make the $4.00 a gallon blues
    go away.
  • Emily · 1 year ago
I love the free codes and other info - thank you!

BUT - I don't want to give all that personal info to the "help support us" sites -- I get a ton of spam after doing so.
  • Emily · 1 year ago
Yup - my guess is the touchpad is getting worn out. Frustrating but still worth it.
  • inp0824 · 1 year ago
Steve, I had that problem even with new RB machines. I just use my knuckles - seems to do the trick.
  • Michael · 1 year ago
@Emily: The sites that I choose for the "Help Support Us" ads require no personally identifying information to do the thing that helps support this site.

While I encourage everyone to further look at the offers after submitting the info on the first page, it is not required to help support the site.

The current offer that is on this post requires only your name and zip code, which gives no one any ability to contact you unless you later give them an address, phone number, email, etc...

    Thanks!
  • Emily · 1 year ago
OK Michael - I'll give it another try ;-) I had a problem with the free cell phone one because after going through all the screens, you couldn't actually submit your request without buying something. Grrrrrr But I will try again because you definitely deserve the support.

Thanks for the codes, I tell everyone I come in contact with about how GREATTTTTTTTT Redbox is.
  • Steve · 1 year ago

    Same here :(

If the touchscreen is hard to push or the redbox is full on a regular basis email customer service. With the location and a description of the problems. Especially if it happens alot. I have seen a 2nd redbox installed next to the existing one (Maverick Gas Station Roy,Utah) and a much newer responsive touchscreen installed in less than a month's time.

Redbox actually listens to its customers (redboxers)
    Long live the redbox!

    Wow, side-by-side kiosks - that's pretty neat!

I will add to this that if you have a complaint about a touchscreen problem you *MAY* need to complain more than once. There was a 'Box near my home that was out of calibration so the screen indicated that I had touched about 1" to the left of where I actually touched. Really made it tough to enter a zip code! I had to call 4 weeks in a row, but they did finally fix it. Who knows - maybe their local tech was on vacation or the part was on back order. Anyway, my point is - it's an imperfect world so don't give up if you don't get an immediate response.

Neither one of these worked tonight in Stuart Fl. tonight. Oddly enough, BREAKROOM did!

Just wanted to say thank you for providing the codes for people - it is a perk in today's economy that I truly appreciate.

I tried the codes in Durham, NC around 8 pm this evening and neither worked, but it was worth a shot.

I would love to see a couple more RedBox kiosks installed in Durham. Right now they are about 25 min apart - north side of town and south side of town.

  • psalms91_2 · 1 year ago
Has anyone noticed that Redbox does not have a lot of kids movies? Does anyone have this problem? I am in Southern Maryland.
  • loudestnoise · 1 year ago

  • Chris · 1 year ago
Redbox always charge me more for what I rented from another state charges. And charge me for a free rental when use use a free promo code once in awhile.

cheap movies or not it not worth it to keep calling the credit card to dispute charges from redbox when charges made from them (Redbox)- discrepancy all the times from their end.
  • katrina · 1 year ago
I have the same problem. My son, 2, loves to go to the "movie machine". But he has already seen every movie they have that would be appropriate for him. So he gets to go with me to get the movies but we always have to wait until he is sleeping to watch them.
  • daniel · 1 year ago
you must remember anytime you use the machine even with a promo code there is still a one dollar "hold" placed on your card to verify the funds are avaliable and after returning the movie "on time" it can take as much as 1 to 2 weeks for the hold to clear.

  • joanieb · 1 year ago

The two "wierd" codes did not work at Giant Eagle in Solon, OH
  • hackman · 1 year ago
The reason for very few kids movies I am sure has to do with the fact the Redbox is intended for users over the age of 18. Why the age of 18? I am sure it has to with the fact that far more adults hold credit and debit cards therefore making them more of a target over the kids.

I would like to see new releases earlier than Monday on the website. I rent movies for a large number of people(nursing home). I use Netflix for obscure movies, the local library for older movies and Blockbuster and REDBOX for new releases. I modify my queue for Blockbuster based on what REDBOX is releasing. I see the new releases when I go to a REDBOX location on Saturday but I would like to see them posted on the website. I am sure REDBOX know's the new releases they are going to have a month in advance. REDBOX is great.

Note: The guy complaining about people returning REDBOX movies to his non REDBOX location is wrong for blaming REDBOX. REDBOX cannot be responsible for people's stupidity. Those people will $Pay$ for their mistake.
